While Sarah’s primary passion revolves around aiding others in moving and feeling their best, her off-duty escapades lead her to the heart of the mountains. From scaling rock faces to trail running, peaceful hiking to thrilling mountain biking, and the serene solitude of ski touring to the rugged adventures of backcountry camping trips, Sarah’s love for exploring the mountains knows no bounds.

About Sarah K.

Meet Sarah Kuindersma, a transplant from Sarnia, Ontario, who found her heart in the mountains of Calgary, Alberta, after various childhood moves around the United States. Her love for the outdoors and the Rockies has kept her rooted there ever since.

Sarah’s journey into this field began with a deep personal connection. At the young age of 12, Sarah was thrown into the rehab world after breaking her L3, L4, and L5 vertebrae from a hockey accident. She faced many challenges trying to get back to her athletic pursuits and sought out multiple specialists who left her feeling isolated and misunderstood. The transformative turning point came with the discovery of M.A.T., a therapy that not only alleviated her muscle pain but also restored her faith in her body’s performance.

Motivated by this personal transformation, it has been her mission to assist those experiencing setbacks due to compensation patterns. Together, you and Sarah, can craft a training regime prioritizing quality over quantity, ensuring a sustainable path to health and movement. Beyond movement and health, her thirst for knowledge allows her to explore the root causes of pain and injury, aiding clients in achieving peak performance and realizing their goals.

Education

Sarah has dedicated herself to helping others overcome frustrating setbacks due to injuries or poor compensation patterns. Driven by her firsthand experiences through her own rehab journey. Sarah is always questioning and looking for ways to help other get back to feeling and performing at their highest abilities.

Sarah started her M.A.T. training under the founder himself, Greg Roskof, Sarah has been part of MAT’s evolution from when it was a weekend certification to now it’s a comprehensive university program.

Sarah has an extensive background in a bunch of movement and performance therapies. She would consider herself a course junky and thrives on learning from others, and getting to the core issues holding people back.

From understanding and managing injuries to optimizing your sport performance, Sarah’s aim is to offer a comprehensive, tailored program that empowers individuals to move beyond pain and achieve their functional goals.
