Registered Massage Therapy

Our commitment to our patients, love of collaborating, geekiness for all things healthcare and passion to go above and beyond.

Meet our Registered Massage Therapy Team who are here to provide you with a wide range of massage services.

Whether you’re looking for deep tissue, myofascial release, therapeutic, relaxation, sport, pediatric, prenatal, and baby (to name a few) we’ve got your needs covered. Our massage therapists are part of a greater team. With patient consent, they work together with each other (and the other practitioners) to provide you with the most comprehensive extended health environment possible.

At your first appointment, your registered massage therapist will go over the intake form and ask you some further questions. They will want to know the reason for your visit, if you have had any previous accidents/injuries/surgeries, and whatever else may be appropriate. Some tests may be performed prior to treatment. The therapist will then leave the room and give you privacy to get on the table and return when you are ready.

Massage Therapy Treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body, working with the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems.

Massage is a hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Treatment techniques:

  • Swedish (Relaxation) Massage
  • Lymphatic Drainage (Healthy Tissue)
  • Therapeutic (Deep Tissue) Massage
  • Myofacial Release Therapy
  • Pregnancy Massage
  • Pediatric & Baby Massage
  • Cupping Therapy
  • Craniosacrial Therapy
  • Sport Therapy
  • Athletic Focused Treatments

Benefits of Massage Therapy

Anyone can benefit from massage therapy…babies, children, adults and seniors.  Regardless of what’s going on in your body, we have a therapist for you!

Why would someone book a massage?  Reasons to consider a massage with one of our therapists…

  • Reduce stress and calm the nervous system. Modern life keeps many of us in a constant “go, go, go” state. Massage therapy can help encourage relaxation and support nervous system regulation.

  • Relieve tension headaches and migraines. Many people find massage helpful for reducing muscle tension in the neck, shoulders, and jaw that may contribute to headaches.

  • Support recovery from injuries. Whether you’re healing from a sprain, strain, motor vehicle accident, or surgery, massage therapy can be an important part of your rehabilitation team.

  • Improve flexibility and mobility. Tight muscles and restricted fascia can affect the way you move. Massage can help improve tissue mobility and complement physiotherapy, chiropractic care or other disciplinary care.

  • Reduce the aches and pains of desk work. Hours spent at a computer can contribute to neck pain, headaches, upper back tension, and repetitive strain injuries.

  • Enhance athletic performance and recovery. Athletes often use massage therapy to help manage training loads, improve recovery between workouts, and address minor issues before they become bigger problems.

  • Improve body awareness. Massage can help you recognize areas of tension, poor posture, or movement habits that may be contributing to discomfort.

  • Support healthy sleep. When the body is able to relax, many people notice improvements in their ability to fall asleep and stay asleep.

  • Provide relief during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Massage can help address common concerns such as low back pain, hip discomfort, swelling, and the physical demands of caring for a new baby.

  • Offer a safe space to slow down. For many people, massage is one of the few times they intentionally disconnect from daily responsibilities and focus on their own wellbeing.

  • Complement mental health care. Massage therapy can be a valuable addition to counselling, mindfulness practices, and other strategies aimed at supporting emotional wellbeing and stress management.

  • Address chronic pain from a whole-person perspective. Living with persistent pain can be exhausting. Massage therapists often work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to help improve comfort, function, and quality of life.

  • Support people living with sensory differences, trauma histories, or nervous system dysregulation. A trauma-informed approach recognizes that every body experiences touch differently and emphasizes consent, communication, and safety throughout treatment.

  • You don’t need to be in pain to benefit. Massage isn’t only for injury recovery. Many clients book regularly because it helps them maintain their health, move more comfortably, and feel their best.
